The Network has joined more than 3,700 nonprofit and nonpartisan organizations nationwide—including several Network member agencies—in signing an open letter rejecting presidential attacks on nonprofit organizations.

Coordinated by Human Rights Watch, the letter condemns the Trump administration’s recent actions targeting charitable and advocacy organizations, affirming the essential role of the nonprofit sector in strengthening democracy, advancing human rights, and serving communities across the country.

The open letter underscores that no administration—regardless of political affiliation—should have the power to silence or punish organizations for their advocacy or viewpoints. It calls attention to the vital work nonprofits perform in every community, from providing healthcare and housing to promoting civic engagement, environmental protection, and human dignity.

By joining this effort, The Network stands with the broader nonprofit community in defending the fundamental freedom to advocate, educate, and serve without political interference.
