In Shifra’s Arms (ISA) provides services to women who are facing unplanned pregnancies or have faced a crisis since becoming pregnant (job loss, prenatal diagnosis). We offer free counseling, material assistance (like maternity clothes, diapers), and financial assistance from first trimester to first birthday. We also provide sensitive follow-up in cases of miscarriage or abortion.

In the last year, we have worked with Jewish women from all economic and religious backgrounds in 12 states.

We were delighted to join NJHSA and sponsor the conference in Atlanta in 2019, and have been pleased to begin receiving more referrals from NJHSA members.

The purpose of this conference call is to explain our services and how we operate.

In the webinar, we will cover:

1) Why and How ISA Works
Unplanned pregnancy and abortion are sensitive topics. In this webinar, we will cover how ISA counselors approach these sensitive issues from a transparent, clinical perspective. We will also cover the kinds of assistance ISA provides. Rather than having a cookie-cutter approach, our material and financial aid are customized to the most pressing needs of the clients. We also network to create services through local volunteers as needed.

2) Collaboration & Referrals
We will cover which of your clients are appropriate referrals and how our intake & referral process works. We work with both married, divorcing, and single women from any Jewish background. We also provide services to non-Jewish clients when they call, although our focus is on meeting the need within the Jewish community nationally.

Member Registration
Non-members may register by contacting Karen Rosen.
