In a time of widespread fear and anxiety for ourselves, our families, and our world, how can we cultivate and model the qualities of courage and resilience? How can we cultivate an inner life which enables us to respond courageously and wisely to the needs of this moment, instead of reacting out of fear? Rabbi Josh Feigelson and Rabbi Marc Margolius of the Institute for Jewish Spirituality will lead a session introducing Jewish mindfulness practice as a practical tool which can help us identify, develop, and strengthen these qualities within ourselves, through:
- Simple meditation practices we can integrate into daily life
- Reflective study of Jewish texts which can guide us
- Identifying and working with middot, our innate abilities to bear difficult thoughts and feelings, to cultivate and access inner calm, and to speak and act courageously
This program is open to all those who work in Jewish community organizations.
