KAVOD is a mission based organization that works with JFS agencies across the US to help fill the gap in Emergency Services as a secondary resource for Holocaust Survivors who are at risk and struggling with day to day essentials.  Amy Israel Pregulman and John Pregulman, Co-Founders of KAVOD will be sharing their story and their work.

In 2019, KAVOD launched a new initiative called The KAVOD SHEF Initiative in partnership with Seed The Dream Foundation. KAVOD SHEF (Survivors of the Holocaust Emergency Fund) exponentially increases awareness and resources in our partnership communities. In 2021, they have 30 communities participating in the KAVOD SHEF Initiative. This collective communal response to this crisis through a partnership with local agencies, federations, donors and the National Donor coalition led by Seed The Dream Foundation is what makes this effort work. Between these two programs, The KAVOD Project and The KAVOD SHEF Initiative, KAVOD has filled over 18,000 Emergency Requests over the last 5 years.
