While the casual interviewer often relies on a quick Google search of good interview questions, Talent Acquisition staff within Human Resources Departments and Executive Search professionals are often trained to uncover true “STARs” in their interview process.

Professional interviewers often rely on an evidence-based approach of interviewing where past results are the best predictor for future behavior. That approach is called Behavioral-Based Interviews.

We as interviewers seek to isolate events in a candidate’s work history and through a series of questions, probe by asking about Situations, Tasks, Actions, and Results. Otherwise known as STARs.

Hear what interviewers are hoping to learn from their conversations with you during an interviews so that they’ll have the confidence you’ll be able to be an impactful contributor to their mission.
