We will discuss “Financial Aid Processes, Procedures and Guidelines” and how a clear process can help ease the decision-making process and alleviate stress for case managers.

We welcome your participation by providing a brief presentation of your agency’s policies and procedures.  Below are a few topics to address:

  • Financial Aid Application Process:  A) Do you have an application for clients to complete and submit?  Share a copy that we can review together.  B)  What documents are required?
  • Guidelines and Procedures: Do you have formal/informal guidelines/procedures in place?  If yes, please describe briefly.
  • Setting Expectations:  Once information is received from your client, describe what are your expectations from your client (for example, applying for government benefits, following up with accessing other resources such as employment support, mental health counseling, participating in financial literacy classes, coaching, etc.)  and do you inform them of what they can expect from you as their case manager?
  • Decision-Making: Describe how this takes place in your organization and what components make this process effective?
  • Conclusion: Challenges and Successes of Your Process and how a clear process can help ease the decision-making process and alleviate stress for case managers.

Please let Lisa know you would like to share YOUR process with our group… learning from each other is how we can grow together. Please reach out to us by Wednesday, 7/19/23… We’d love to learn from and with you!
