Hosted by the Clinical Services Professionals NETGroup
Presented by National Member Sharsheret
We all know cancer takes a physical toll, but we don’t always realize the psychosocial and spiritual impact cancer causes. Social service agencies are uniquely positioned to offer services that are otherwise difficult to find.
Explore the benefits of providing cancer support to women, men, and families in your communities. Topics include:
  • Where being Jewish may intersect with cancer diagnoses, treatment, and survivorship.
  • How the high incidence of hereditary cancer makes this particularly relevant to both men and women within the Jewish community.
  • Leveraging your agencies’ resources to both provide lifesaving education to the community and necessary support to those impacted by cancer.
  • How providing education, and skilled, ongoing psychosocial support to those impacted by cancer may provide a new revenue stream for your agency.
This two-hour session includes 90 minutes of formal training and 30 minutes of Q&A and guided conversations with your colleagues. Two CE credits may be available for social workers through ASWB and NYSW. Questions? Contact Melissa Rosen, Director of Training and Education at Sharsheret.
