The last few years have presented many challenges for our communities and our agencies. Technology has taken center stage as both an area of necessary investment and a pivotal tool in delivering our mission. But for so many organizations, technology decisions have not been supported by the level of experience, strategy, and training that many of us have wanted.
Thanks to the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation NTEN has an exciting opportunity for you or your colleagues to gain technology leadership skills and knowledge while also receiving the strategic support to advance technology planning and projects in 2022 and beyond. All participants that complete the 6-month program are eligible to apply to funding that would support capitalizable expenses related to your selected technology project.
Nonprofit Technology Readiness (NTR) is a six-month cohort program from NTEN, a nonprofit focused on the strategic and racially equitable use of technology. This NTR cohort will include 20 individuals from any department who want to gain new skills, build capacity for their team and organization, and receive dedicated coaching on their most urgent technology needs. NTEN anticipates a high number of organizations will be interested in participating, and will have more cohorts in upcoming years.
Applications for the first cohort are now open, and will close on March 7, 2022. There is no cost to apply or participate, and participants can anticipate 8-10 hours per month related to the program.
For a more thorough introduction, join the info session, hosted by NTEN. There you’ll be able to meet NTEN’s team, learn more about the program, and get answers to any questions you may have. If you can’t make it, we’ll post the recording after the event on the program page linked above.
