Join this POP UP Holocaust Survivor Services Professionals affinity group call to discuss the issue of race and how to work with clients expressing racism/using racial slurs to and about their home health aides, who are often women of color. Many of our agency’s social workers are experiencing the deep emotional toll of these conversations and feeling like while they want to provide the best possible services to their clients, adhere to PCTI best practices, empower clients and respect their voices, they feel compelled to speak out against racism and it’s unacceptable place in care management. However, we know that pushing back against clients has often damaged the rapport and relationship shared been care manager and client, so we hope to be able to brainstorm language TOGETHER we can all use so as to  confront the issue.

Email Megan to join the group. Links to affinity group meetings and webinars can be found in the Members Only section on the Calls & Webinars page. Email Megan for the logins.
