Workforce Development Executives Affinity Group Call – Exploring Brainstormed Ideas
Participate in the monthly Workforce Development Executives Affinity Group Call. On May 1st, the group will discuss the ideas brainstormed below, at the NJHSA Annual Conference. This meeting will also determine the next steps this group will take and clarify which avenues will be pursued.
- Replicate partnerships, seeking funding, power of introduction (Karen).
- Agenda item at Executive Conference in Fall 2019
- Interaction with National Skills Coalition (Abby)
- Represented fairly well in Washington – John – heard earmarks are going to come back – may want to identify some policy wins
- Private companies to leverage across the network such as TD Bank (John)
- Value in both individual and collective effort – especially around philanthropy (e.g. Weinberg)
- Collective effort when we have collective opportunity
