Marketing is an enterprise about which many of us have mixed feelings, but it’s a critical part of program management. Our dynamic work is all about people, information, and community: Marketing helps us reach out and make connections. It allows us to promote, educate, and advance for the betterment of all. Are we telling the amazing stories about our work and those we serve most effectively?
This month’s meeting is a Marketing Check-In. Are you doing things that are working well and you’d like to share? Have you had a problem to solve that could use some group brainstorming? Are you trying to reach a certain community or market that has been resistant? Wondering about ways of making outreach automatic and consistent? Let’s talk! Bring your marketing topics and questions to discuss and get ready for a rich discussion.
We also encourage you to invite a marketing, development, and/or communications professional from your agency to this month’s meeting. To do this, simply forward this email to them and have them sign up using the link. This is a great opportunity for our colleagues in these departments to get to know more about our work and the field of Workforce Development. We are not looking for them to serve as “experts” for our discussion or to solve our problems, but simply join us for sharing and learning.
