Building on the success of the annual Jewish Disability Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill, NJHSA has partnered with JFNA to bring you Jewish Disability Advocacy Month (JDAM) in February, a monthlong virtual educational and community-building experience culminating in a week of action and advocacy. The programming will be designed to fight societal stigma surrounding individuals with disabilities and promote opportunities for full inclusion in the Jewish community and beyond.
We need your help! Key to JDAM’s success is support of local partner agencies like you. JFNA and other national partners will be hosting a variety of virtual programs and networking opportunities throughout the month. We are also encouraging local partners to host virtual programs that will be advertised to a national audience on Jewish Together.
There is no cost to being a Local Partner and the event is free for participants. Local Partners will receive a marketing toolkit with sample language and downloadable graphics.
Local Partner Benefits:
- Your name will be listed on JDAM website and promotional materials;
- Local programs advertised on Jewish Together JDAM page.
Local Partner Expectations:
- Invite and encourage members of your community to participate in monthlong JDAM programming using the JDAM toolkit;
- If your agency holds a local virtual JDAM program (here are a few suggestions), it will be advertised on the Jewish Together JDAM page.
Complete this initial intake form if you would like to sign up as a JDAM Local Partner. Please respond by November 20th. If you indicate that you are holding your own virtual program, we will follow up with you next month for specific program details.
