NJHSA is proudly participating in Pledge to Protect, a crowdfunding effort powered by Jewish Together to raise funds that will directly support Jewish human service agencies serving our communities.
As you are aware, personal protective equipment (PPE) has become increasingly difficult to obtain due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Recognizing this, NJHSA joined together with collaborating partners, including the Association of Jewish Aging Services, Kahal and JFNA, to develop and administer an international supply chain to give 200 agencies across North America immediate access to PPE (masks, gloves, face shields and isolation gowns). These facilities include Jewish nursing homes, Jewish human service agencies and Jewish residential providers for persons with disabilities.
We are especially proud that over 100 NJHSA member agencies have been able to order supplies through this effort!
Through Pledge to Protect, individuals can donate money where 100% of every dollar donated (net of processing fees) will go toward covering costs of purchasing PPE equipment for these agencies in need. I hope you will consider participating in this important fundraising effort to support agencies serving our communities at a time when it is most important.
Not only do we encourage you to donate (even a small amount), but we are asking you to increase your impact in this crowdfunding effort by spreading awareness across your own networks. Through your social media channels, please quickly share this with your agency’s board of directors, staff, volunteers and community supporters.
Here is a link to a toolkit to set up your own agency’s fundraising effort, or you can choose to promote and donate to the Network’s team page.
Should you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Karen Rosen at NJHSA. Please help us to spread and thank you for your support.
