The Network is pleased to announce a new partnership with Greenspace Mental Health, a 2019 Annual Conference Sponsor. Greenspace Mental Health designed a program to support member agencies in improving the quality of their behavioral/mental health services. This initiative was created to address the growing trend towards measurement-based care and value-based payment frameworks – an important need identified by Network members.
Greenspace is a technology platform that helps organizations more effectively and simply measure client care, while increasing client engagement and leveraging the data being collected. The relationship between Greenspace and NJHSA will make the platform available to members at a reduced rate, and with additional benefits.

Measurement-Based Care and Trends Across Human Service Agencies
There is now an overwhelming body of research showing that the consistent measurement of client progress in mental health therapy will improve treatment outcomes. The level of impact is dramatic, with studies showing a 42% increase in a client’s level of symptom change. Despite these benefits, there is still a major gap when it comes to implementation in clinical practice – largely a result of the manual effort and clinical time required.
Over the past year there has been a major trend across human service agencies in North America towards addressing this area of practice. This change has been driven by three main factors:
- Funders beginning to emphasize clinical data in reporting;
- The expansion of Value Based Payment initiatives across Medicaid payers; and
- Regulatory and accreditation bodies identifying measurement as a standard of practice.
While this may feel like a burden for agencies, the impact and value of measuring client care more effectively is quite significant. This includes improved client results, real-time visibility into program outcomes and reduced dropout/cancellation rates.
To support members in addressing this area, NJHSA and Greenspace will be coordinating several webinars and other educational opportunities. You can also contact Greenspace directly at email@example.com to set up a webinar or training session for your team.
