NJHSA Partners with On the Go

Please welcome On the Go as the Network’s newest partner!
On the Go is a nationally recognized and award-winning program of Charitable Adult Rides & Services (CARS). On the Go is committed to transforming lives with freedom of transportation. Through comprehensive solutions, On the Go works with organizations across the country to increase independence, social connection, and access to essential services that are vital to the physical and social health of older and vulnerable adults.
Through NJHSA and On the Go’s partnership, Network member agencies receive a 15% discount off the initial setup and onboarding fee for On the Go’s full-service ride scheduling and dispatch service. On the Go will work with members to assess their transportation needs and develop a customized solution that best fits their riders and community.

Changing Lives for People Like Timothy

Understanding the unique needs of each rider is key to On the Go’s rider-centric approach. We want to tell you about one of our partners, an Area Agency on Aging in Northern Arizona, whose riders call On the Go 7-days a week to schedule their rides to medical and social appointments.

One of their riders, Timothy, is a cognitively disabled adult, who uses On the Go’s high-touch call center to schedule rides to and from his weekly equine therapy, something he absolutely loves. Every week, On the Go’s customer service staff, call Timothy before his driver arrives and monitor his rides to ensure he gets to equine therapy and back home again safely.

On the Go already works with multiple NJHSA members, including Jewish Community Services of South Florida and Jewish Family Services of Greater Kansas City. Read what they have to say about their partnership below.

Jewish Family Services of Greater Kansas City (JFS Kansas City)
“On the Go has allowed JFS Kansas City to meet growing demands for person-centered transportation in our region. On the Go’s staff provides support with dispatching and last-minute changes to rides. Our team is confident knowing that On the Go has our back, and our riders can call them directly when their scheduled ride changes.”
– Rachel Ohlhausen, JFS Kansas City

Jewish Community Services of South Florida (JCS), In Partnership with Claims Conference
“JCS has collaborated with On the Go to provide transportation services to Holocaust survivors. Through this partnership, JCS has been able to meet the individual transportation needs of our Survivors. One Holocaust survivor client remarked how simple and easy to use the program was. She was very appreciative to the call center who assisted her in scheduling her transportation, how friendly they were, and the time they spent helping her, making sure she was safely in the car. She feels at ease knowing when she calls, they will answer, assist her with scheduling, and feels confident in making her doctor’s appointments on time when using CARS. She is grateful to On the Go and JCS for providing excellent and safe transportation services.”
– Alaina Andersen, JCS
