The Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, Inc. (Claims Conference) has joined the Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies (NJHSA) as an Affiliate Member. In joining NJHSA, The Claims Conference will become an active participating agency with all NJHSA offerings, including its Affinity Groups, conferences and special initiatives. Affiliate Membership is a new category of membership for organizations that work closely with NJHSA and its member agencies but are not structured as local service provider agencies.
“This is a great opportunity to make the partnership between NJHSA and the Claims Conference official,” said Greg Schneider, Executive Vice President of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. “We are thrilled to join the Network as an affiliate member. We have worked closely with NJHSA since its inception and have found our participation in the Network’s Annual Conference to be especially meaningful and are looking to grow our collaborations throughout other Network sponsored venues, including its active NJHSA Holocaust Survivor Services Professionals Affinity Group. Now as an Affiliate Member, I am certain we will continue to do great things together.”
In 2021 the Claims Conference will distribute approximately $625 million in direct compensation to 260,000 Holocaust survivors in 83 Countries around the world. Additionally, they will provide $640 million in grants to 300 social service agencies worldwide.
Added Reuben Rotman, NJHSA President & CEO, “We are looking forward to continuing to promote the programming, resources and services of the Claims Conference both within and outside The Network. Their team brings a great value to NJHSA”.
