National and Local Organizations Urge Congress to Support Holocaust Education

Led by the Jewish Federations of North America, over 75 organizations and institutions signed on to a letter urging Congress to pass the Never Again Education Act (H.R. 5460). Read The Jerusalem Post‘s coverage of our advocacy here. This bipartisan bill would establish a fund within the Department of Education that would use private donations to support Holocaust education for middle and high school students, including providing resources to teachers and creating a Holocaust education website. In an age of increasingly prevalent anti-Semitism, it is more crucial than ever to ensure the next generation understands the potentially disastrous consequences of bigotry and hate. NJHSA is proud to have joined this effort and we are hopeful that the pressure of our strong collective voice will lead to a swift passage of the bill. Thank you to the many agencies that signed on!
