New US Grant to Mobilize the Co-sponsoring of Afghan Families

Informational Call – Grant to Mobilize the Co-sponsoring of Afghan Families
Thursday, October 28th | 2pm EST | REGISTER

The Shapiro Foundation is launching an exciting new grant program to mobilize Jewish community organizations including JFS, JVS, Federations, synagogues, JCCs, and day schools to co-sponsor Afghan families. These grant dollars are available to any US NJHSA member agency and/or community interested in launching local volunteer coordination campaigns to complement the work of existing resettlement agencies and ensure that Afghan families have what they need to transition from military bases to local communities.

Join the Network for a call with the Shapiro Foundation and JFNA for Federations, Jewish human service agencies and JCRCs to learn more about the available funds and how to apply. We will also hear from representatives of Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston, the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston, and Jewish Family Service of Metrowest MA about how they partnered to launch a local initiative.

Please reach out to Basha Silverman, bsilverman@netowrkjhsa.org with questions.
