In the coming weeks, President Trump will decide on the number of refugees the U.S. will resettle in 2019. Join NJHSA and member agency HIAS in asking Congress to demand that President Trump set a refugee admissions ceiling of at lead least 75,000. This year, the U.S. will welcome the lowest number of refugees in 40 years, and that trend must be reversed. At a time when more than 68 million people across the world are displaced, 25.4 million of whom are refugees, the U.S. must do more—not less—to help people seeking safety and freedom. Let your Members of Congress know that refugee resettlement is about saving lives.
