The Network was recently highlighted in the Jewish Funders Network’s (JFN) newsletter, which focused on urgent conversations about Jewish poverty and economic insecurity. The coverage spotlighted The Network’s PowerNET Conference in Denver, where funders gathered to learn about the mounting challenges faced by Jewish human service agencies—including staff layoffs and reduced federal funding.

A funder-exclusive panel at PowerNET featured philanthropic leaders from the Michael Reese Health Trust, Rose Community Foundation, and Neuberger Family Foundation, offering insight into how funders are responding to these challenges and sustaining essential services.

The inclusion of The Network’s work in this peer-to-peer newsletter reflects our leadership role in bringing stakeholders together to confront economic hardship in Jewish communities. We’re proud to be part of a field-wide dialogue that elevates solutions and fosters collaboration.

The JFN newsletter also noted a separate gathering of funders in Denver, where participants reviewed national and Colorado-specific data from the new TENDatabase.com, which reveals that 18% of Jewish households in Colorado are struggling to make ends meet.
