The Network congratulates Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater Philadelphia (JFCS) on two significant developments that will shape the future of care and support for the Philadelphia community.

Effective September 1, 2025, Robin Brandies will become JFCS’s next President and CEO. With a career rooted in nonprofit leadership, Robin brings a strong background in strategic planning, program innovation, and community partnerships. Most recently, she served as President and Executive Director of the Madlyn and Leonard Abramson Center for Jewish Life (Abramson Senior Care), where she led groundbreaking initiatives in dementia and chronic illness care and built impactful partnerships in healthcare delivery.

Robin’s appointment follows the planned retirement of longtime President and CEO Paula Goldstein, whose 14 years of leadership have transformed JFCS and expanded its reach across the region. Paula’s commitment to compassionate service and sustainable growth has positioned the organization for lasting impact, and the Network joins in expressing deep gratitude for her extraordinary contributions.

In a parallel and exciting development, the Boards of JFCS and Abramson Senior Care have approved the signing of a Term Sheet for a potential merger between the two institutions. This strategic step—pending regulatory approval—will unite two organizations with complementary missions and legacies of service. Together, they aim to offer a comprehensive and integrated spectrum of social services and healthcare for older Jewish adults and their caregivers in Greater Philadelphia.

While the CEO transition and merger discussions have progressed independently, both reflect a shared commitment to the long-term strength, reach, and innovation of JFCS.

We applaud JFCS’s visionary leadership and look forward to the positive impact these developments will bring to the community.
