As the Jewish New Year is upon us, we wanted to wish all a happy, healthy and meaningful New Year. Jewish tradition teaches us that the fall holidays represent a time of renewal. The New Year provides us with an opportunity to start fresh, to develop both a personal and communal plan for new commitments and to be reminded of our vision for the health and wellbeing of our communities.

As the Jewish world and beyond continue to navigate the ongoing and lasting implications of the war in Israel, we also continue to witness historic levels of antisemitism, a politically divided United States, deep and unprecedented cuts to the U.S. safety net, a worldwide refugee crisis, and natural disasters that leave communities impacted for generations to come. Throughout each of these challenges, the member agencies of The Network continue to position themselves as leadership organizations, providing front-line responses and critical services to those in need. Grounded in Jewish values and united in their commitments to provide services that are considered “best” in practice, Network member agencies provide their communities with critical and timely responses to life’s ever-present challenges.

At The Network, we are both proud and humbled to be marshaling resources to strengthen the Jewish human service sector.  We have supported agencies with advocacy efforts and have provided funding in a range of service areas including workforce development, youth mental health and person centered, trauma informed services for older adults.  Please take a moment to learn more about The Network’s impact via its Annual Report and please also contribute your input to our advocacy efforts via this brief survey which will help to inform our U.S. Public Policy Agenda for 2026.

We look forward to continuing to work with each of you in the coming year. Please be in touch if there are ways you think The Network can be an even more effective resource for you, for your agency and for your community.

Wishing us all only the very best for the coming Jewish New Year,

Sandy Muskovitz-Danto, Board Chair
