As part of The Network’s Emergency Preparedness NETTalk Series, this session will help Network member agencies strengthen readiness by learning how to “think like a lawyer” when the legal landscape changes — both in emergencies and in day-to-day operations.

Jennie Woltz leads a national boutique employment law firm and has deep experience supporting nonprofits and human service organizations. Formerly VP of HR and in-house Employment Counsel at The New York Foundling, Jennie co-created the “Employment Law Co-Op” model to help JCCs and Ys pool resources, reduce costs, and strengthen HR functions. She also serves on the Board of Wheel It Forward, a nonprofit medical equipment lending library.

Ben Folkinshteyn is a seasoned litigator and governance advisor with expertise in employment, corporate, and insurance law. He supports internal investigations and litigation avoidance strategies for human service agencies. He co-leads the “Employment Law Co-Op” model and currently serves on the boards of Kings Bay YM-YWHA/JCC Brooklyn and the City of Stamford’s Board of Ethics.
